Patriot CNG retained OEC for CNG Station Construction Training, General Construction Oversight & System Startup for a station located in Rockledge, FL. This site incorporates two separate fueling areas, one for fleet fueling and one for future retail fueling. Currently, the site is being used by Florida City Gas for their fleet vehicles.

Oxford Engineering Company in conjunction with Air & Gas Technologies, Inc. has recently completed the design and installation of a compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicle fueling system at Wawa Store #8305 located at 51 Berkley Road in Paulsboro, New Jersey. The CNG system is currently operational and a ribbon cutting ceremony was performed on March 3, 2016. This project marks Wawa’s first integration of a CNG vehicle fueling system within one of their existing convenience-store/petroleum station installations. The station is conveniently located at Exit 18 along New Jersey State Highway 295 in Paulsboro.

L.T. Verrastro, Inc. has retained OEC to design and permit a hybrid CNG station to be installed at their Old Forge, Pennsylvania beer distribution facility. The design incorporates the infrastructure necessary for the installation of future equipment to meet additional demand. The initial installation includes one two-hose Fast-Fill dispenser for Nissan bi-fuel sales/marketing vans and ten Time-Fill positions for Peterbilt CNG product distribution tractors. The installation was done in conjunction with Air & Gas Technologies, Inc. This project was completed in July 2015. 

 

Oxford Engineering Company, Inc.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

OEC designed, permitted, and installed a VRA at our facility in Philadelphia. The appliance will be utilized to fill company vehicles. The installation was performed in conjunction with Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW) and will be utilized by PGW to promote the installation of refueling appliances within their service area.

 

Rose Tree Media School District

Johnson Controls Inc. retained OEC to design, permit and construct a fleet fast-fill station for the Rose Tree Media School District.  The station will be utilized to fill existing diesel powered school buses that have been converted/repowered with compressed natural gas.  The installation was done in conjunction with Air & Gas Technologies, Inc. The project included the installation of a three sided split-faced block compressor yard enclosure to match the existing transportation building and the installation of one on-site fleet dispenser located on an expanded diesel fueling island. The design incorporates the infrastructure necessary for the installation of future equipment to meet additional demand.

 

Elizabethtown Gas

OEC in conjunction with Air & Gas Technologies, Inc. removed and replaced a Fast-Fill Station for Elizabethtown Gas. The station is located on Green Lane in Union, New Jersey. The scope of work included the demolition of the existing station and installation of a new station utilizing ANGI equipment. The installation included one on-site fleet dispenser, a portable bottle fill and two retail dispensers underneath a new canopy located adjacent to Green Lane.

The Port Authority of NY & NJ

Jersey City, New Jersey

As sub-contractors to ANGI Energy Systems, Oxford Engineering Company and Air & Gas Technologies, Inc. removed and replaced a small CNG Fast-Fill Station for the Port Authority of NY & NJ. The station is located in a Port Authority parking lot adjacent to the Holland Tunnel in Jersey City, New Jersey. The scope of work included the demolition of the existing station, removal of contaminated soils and installation of a new station utilizing ANGI equipment. The work was completed in accordance with Port Authority specifications and included the installation of heavy duty bollards, guard rail and security fencing.

 

South Jersey Gas

South Jersey Gas (SJG) is currently in the process of building multiple CNG fast-fill stations for fleet and retail use. In conjunction with Air & Gas Technologies, Inc., OEC designed, permitted, and constructed a CNG fast-fill station in Millville, New Jersey. The Millville CNG fast-fill station will be built upon a vacant parcel of land adjacent to the SJG operations building located on Route 47 in Millville, New Jersey. Permitting will include interaction with the New Jersey Department of Transportation and the City of Millville. Station construction will require coordination for the removal and disposal of existing contaminated soil. The design and installation of the CNG station will include all required CNG fast-fill station equipment along with back-up power generation, canopy installation, landscaping, and signage required for retail operation.

 

New Jersey Natural Gas

New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG) currently owns and operates a CNG fast-fill station in Lakewood, New Jersey. NJNG has recently upgraded this facility and is currently in the process of expanding their CNG vehicle fleet. Waste Management Inc. is currently utilizing this CNG station to fuel their trash trucks. In conjunction with Air & Gas Technologies, Inc., OEC designed, permitted and completely reconstructed the CNG fast-fill facility in Lakewood. The project included complete demolition of the existing compressor station, refurbishing of the existing ASME vessels and the installation of a new desiccant dryer, packaged compressor system, ASME sphere, CNG dispenser, and fuel management system. Additionally, OEC integrated the CNG fuel management system with the existing petroleum product fuel management system utilizing wireless communication from the fuel island terminal. NJNG has expanded and upgraded their fast-fill CNG facility to include time-fill capability.

 

New Jersey Natural Gas

New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG) currently owns and operates a CNG fast-fill station in Wall, New Jersey. NJNG has recently upgraded this facility and is currently in the process of expanding their CNG vehicle fleet. In conjunction with Air & Gas Technologies, Inc., OEC designed, permitted, and completely reconstructed the CNG fast-fill facility in Wall. The project included complete demolition of the existing compressor station, refurbishing of the existing ASME vessels and the installation of a new desiccant dryer, packaged compressor system, ASME vessel, CNG dispenser, and fuel management system. Additionally, OEC installed a new fuel management system at this facility integrating the CNG and petroleum product dispensing systems. OEC is currently working with NJNG to maintain the fuel management system and provide accurate fuel use and fuel delivery reporting.

Aqua America, Inc. has recently announced that they are going to convert a large part of their service fleet to CNG vehicles. Historically they have not had the in-house ability to refill CNG vehicles. Aqua America, Inc. retained OEC to design an eight (8) vehicle CNG time-fill system for their Sproul Road facility. The design was completed within two weeks of receipt of purchase order.

 

American Honda Motor Company, Inc.

Mount Laurel, New Jersey

American Honda Motor Co., Inc. (Honda) operates a technician training center and warehouse in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey. Honda expects increased demand for their dedicated CNG Honda Civic which has been on the market for years. As such, Honda is installing CNG VRAs at their training centers nationwide to enable them to refuel training vehicles. OEC designed, permitted, and is currently installing a VRA at the Mt. Laurel facility. Although the small compressor is an approved appliance, permitting for this project was particularly difficult due to the fact that the local code officials were not familiar with the equipment and had never issued a permit for this type of installation.

 

Mack Truck, Inc.

Macungie, Pennsylvania

Mack Trucks, Inc. assembles CNG truck chassis at their plant located in Macungie, Pennsylvania. The truck chassis are typically sent to a third party body and specialty up-fitter for completion and therefore permanent CNG vehicle storage vessels are not installed at the plant. The plant utilizes a series of temporary CNG vehicle storage vessels hung from the chassis to fuel the trucks during the assembly and testing process. Historically the vessels were filled utilizing a Bauer Dominus time-fill compressor with no CNG storage capacity. Due to increased production of CNG trucks the time-fill system could no longer keep up with the demand. OEC designed, permitted, and installed a small fast-fill station while keeping the existing system operational with no interruption to the truck assembly operation.

 

Bryn Mawr College

Bryn Mawr College owns and operates a number of CNG buses. They have operated a time-fill system with limited bottle storage for many years. OEC designed, permitted, and installed additional CNG bottle storage and replaced the existing desiccant dryer with a higher capacity unit.

 

Harriton High School

The CNG installation work was successfully completed meeting the accelerated project schedule developed by LMSD and Foreman Program & Construction Managers.

Lower Merion School District (LMSD) has owned and operated their CNG school bus system for many years. OEC has provided CNG fueling station construction services to LMSD dating back to 2005. Our initial service included upgrade and maintenance to the existing fast-fill stations located at Lower Merion High School and Harriton High School. As part of the complete reconstruction of Lower Merion High School in 2008, OEC was awarded the CNG fueling system installation contract. The CNG installation work required coordination and integration with multiple contractors working on the new high school infrastructure. The CNG installation work was successfully completed meeting the accelerated project schedule developed by LMSD and Foreman Program & Construction Managers.
